ARTIST PROFILE

Stephen Clawson grew up in Provo, Utah, went to school at Snow College and got his BFA from Brigham Young University. Stephen has always loved art, but as he has gotten older, a specific passion for abstract art developed. Stephen spends his time working with mixed media to create paintings, collages and assemblage pieces. Aside from canvas, panels, paintbrushes and drip cloths, in Stephen's studio you can find endless jars of pigments, an oil press, hot plates and burners,  along with all sorts of chemicals and tools to create his own paints and texture mediums.
